EJ’s Nursery

I have been meaning to post about EJ’s nursery & haven’t gotten around to it & since her arrival is scheduled for TOMORROW, I should probably get on this. So thankful for my cousin, Kit who is an interior designer who helped me big time with putting her room together. We went with gray walls & pink accents. One of my favorite features of the room is the crib skirt & curtains which were made by my mother-in-law. They turned out fantastic & absolutely love the chevron detail. It was so much fun getting this room together, there are still a few things I am looking for such as more to hang on the wall above her changing table & a rug…but that will happen in time .  What do you think?

Registries

25 weeks today & working on the registries! Much harder to register for a baby than when you are getting married! As of now, we are registering with Babies “R” Us and Amazon and the cool thing is that you can access both at the same time along with some other items from other stores on MyRegistry.com! These websites are much easier to use than Buy Buy Baby. I am not surprised however, as when I registered for my wedding, I hated using Bed, Bath & Beyond’s website. I am absolutely thrilled with MyRegistry.com. It lets you automatically add items from any website directly to your registry. If you are registering for any special event, I highly recommend it.

The nursery is now clear of all of the “stuff” we have accumulated in the past 3 years….now where to put it all?? We plan to start painting next weekend!

Antique Store Finds

House Divided

I came across these great Purdue & IU pennants while shopping at a great antique store during our annual trip to my hometown, Richland Michigan. I didn’t end up purchasing these as they were more money than I wanted to spend. They would have fit in at our house perfectly though, as we are a house divided. Boiler UP!

Frame, Chalkboard, yellow vase & yellow napkin holder

Above is the chalkboard, cabinet frame, and matching yellow vase and napkin holder that I did take home from the Antique Store. I am so excited for this chalkboard, it is currently hanging in my kitchen…but I have to go buy chalk! I haven’t done anything with the cabinet frame yet. I am torn between buying more and putting them all together on one wall with nothing in them, or hanging it with a vintage scarf in it…we’ll see. I am using the yellow pieces in my kitchen & they are great for a pop of color. I have these great colorful fabric napkins that were a wedding gift and now I can display them! Pictures to come…

Boatman Geller

I noticed that I have a couple of new followers, so I should probably make more of an effort to update my blog more often! I recently started a new job as Social Media Manager at Boatman Geller, so I spend a big portion of my day reading other blogs & working on social media. Army Trunks

I am excited to receive my grandpa’s army trunks from WWII from my Mom. Thinking of turning them into a coffee or side table!

Christmas Decorating

Here are some new decorations I incorporated this year. I have quite a few “extra” ornaments so I used this antique tray & silver plate to place ornaments, antique bottles & candles on to create centerpieces.
